Dance is my first love! I started learning Russian classical ballet when I was just 5 years old. Before that I was learning Bharatnatyam since 3 years of age. I love classical ballet as it is known for its aesthetics and beautiful techniques, such as pointework, turnout of the legs, and high extensions.
In a very short time, I developed the skills to dance en pointe, in which the body weight is supported on the tips of my feet on specially designed and handcrafted pointe shoes. To reach at this level, I have put lot of hard work that includes regular exercise, stretching and of course diet control so as not to gain extra weight.
In 2017, at the age of 11 yrs, I got selected for 'Super Dancer Chapter 2' contest, which was a TV realty show for children,sponsored by SONY TV, after clearing ground auditions held in Delhi. I was first qualified in the Studio Round of the contest and then for the mega round out of about 15,000 contestants across the country. I was lucky to perform at the iconic R. K. Films & Studio, Mumbai, was later telecast on Sony Entertainment Channel (SET). I was also selected for exclusive photo-shoots for the purpose of nation-wide campaign/advertisement of the programme. I reached top 16 contestants in the Mega Audition Round and received standing ovation and applauds by the three Judges Ms Shilpa Shetty, Ms Geeta Kapoor and Mr. Anurag Basu and the audience.
I have won Grand Prix in Mosaic of Dance – an all-India ballet completion the last three consecutive years in the classical ballet. My dream is to become a perfect ballerina and to enthrall everyone with my dance.
